Another Big Race Weekend!
This weekend 9/10 and 9/11 will see many MFIT athletes participating in races across the country once again. Ironman Louisville This Weekend!!
This weekend will be Ironman Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky!! Morrowfit athletes competing this year include Lisa Conklin who last year completed IM Wisconsin, and Adam Wright who will be participating in his first full Ironman! Jackson County, Pigman and Pikes Peak
Good luck to MFIT athletes competing across the Midwest. At the Jackson County triathlon competing in the olympic distance race will be Grant, Jeff, Raymond, Michael, Dan and Chrissy! Great weekend for MFIT Athletes
Congratulations to all MFIT athletes who participated in races this past weekend. First off on Saturday morning was Jon Evraets who participated and was the overall champion at the Willow Lake Triathlon in Enid, OK. On Sunday morning at the the Derby Rock and Route sprint triathlon, congratulations to Shawn Stafford (2nd Overall, 1st – M25-29), Michael Manley (2nd M25-29), Audrey Donovan (2nd Overall, 1st – F25-29), Shauna Yelverton (1st F40-44), Melissa Spottedhorse (2nd F40-44), Wayne Stout (2nd M50-54), Jan Gutschenritter (1st F50-54), and Vickie Tucker (2nd F50-54). What proved to be another very hot and muggy day, MFIT athletes remained strong throughout the race!! Mudwater Race is Next
This coming weekend (July 10th) is the Kansas River Valley Triathlon Club race known as Mudwater! This years race is full and we expect it to be a very competitive field. A HOT AND COLD WEEKEND
This past weekend (6/26) saw several MFIT athletes participate in extreme conditions across the country. First was the El dorado Triathlon in El dorado, KS which had the most bearable conditions of the day. There were 8 MFIT athletes competing, 4 in the Olympic distance (Jon, Grant, Raymond and Tim) and 3 in the sprint distance (Michael, Paul and Vickie). Jon was 1st (M40-44), Tim was 3rd (M45-49), Grant was 4th (M30-34) and Raymond was 5th (M40-44). In the sprint, Michael took 2nd overall. Paul was 6th (M45-49) and Vickie was 4th (F50-54)! In Lubbock, TX, at the Buffalo Springs 70.3 race there were 3 athletes competing in what had to be some of the toughest conditions ever.
